Cardboard Angel Ornament
An easy-to-make angel ornament that is created from recycled materials.
Materials
recycled cracker or cereal box
muffin paper
glitter
paint
yarn
white glue
Cut a circle out of cardboard about five inches in diameter.
Fold the circle in half with the plain side facing out and spread glue all over the inside. Press the cardboard together to make sure the glue keeps the cardboard folded.
Paint both sides of the cardboard and then sprinkle glitter over the paint before it dries.
Holding the half circle with the straight edge up cut a slit two inches from the straight edge on the outer edge of the half circle. Make a cut stopping ½ an inch below the straight edge. Do this to both ends of the half circle. Fold along both slits to make the angel’s arms reach out.
Make a head for the angel by cutting a 1 ½ inch circle out of cardboard and drawing a face on it. Glue the face onto the top of the angel and add bits of yarn for hair.
Cut a paper muffin cup in half to make two wings and attach them to the back of the angel using white glue. Glue a loop of yarn for hanging.
This angel craft can be easily adapted to any age group and can be used as gift tags.
